(केंद्रस्तरीय प्रशिक्षण) – An Adult and Continuous Education training program has been initiated by the Department of Education, Government of Maharashtra and implemented by the Department of Education, KP East Ward. This flagship initiative of the Government of India aims to impart education, literacy, and technical know-how to the target group of the population between the age group of 18 years to 35 years.
The key objective of this educational campaign is to empower every citizen with the necessary reading, comprehension, computational, and technical skills to thrive in modern-day society.
The teacher-training program for this campaign was held at the Parle Tilak Vidyalaya English Medium School on 18th October and 19th October 2023. It was inaugurated by Madam Smita Biwalkar, the Headmistress and office bearers of the Education Department. Our teacher, Dr. Srider Iyer, attended this teacher-training program and Dr. Iyer will play a key role in furthering the mission.
The primary aim of this program is to provide training, guidance and preparation to teachers, enabling them to effectively guide and equip people in the target age group of 18 to 35 years who are either illiterate or lack formal education. The
training seeks to channel their knowledge and capabilities towards further educational pursuits while utilizing Integrated Books – UJAS, as the curriculum support.

The Teacher volunteers hold a crucial role as the facilitator in this exercise, and the 100% attainment of literacy by the year 2027 is the ultimate accomplishment. We are immensely pleased to support this noble initiative of the Education Department and we remain committed to making this scheme a grand success.
