A Report on the Constitution Day celebrated in Parle Tilak Vidyalaya English Medium School (Secondary Section)
“The Constitution is not just a document; it is the spirit that guides a nation towards justice, liberty, equality and fraternity.”
Constitution Day was observed in Parle Tilak Vidyalaya English Medium School (Secondary Section) with great enthusiasm on 26th November, 2025. After the morning assembly, our teacher Miss Khushi Kapadia addressed the students and shared a brief yet insightful introduction on the significance of the day. She explained that Constitution Day is celebrated every year to commemorate the adoption of the Indian Constitution on 26th November 1949 and to remind us of the values, duties and responsibilities that shape us as citizens of a democratic nation.
To strengthen this understanding, a radio skit written by our teacher Mrs Vinitha Nair was presented by the students of Std. VII. Directed by Miss Khushi Kapadia, the skit highlighted the making of the Constitution, the role of the Constituent Assembly, Dr B. R. Ambedkar’s contribution and the importance of the Preamble. Through a thoughtful conversation between three students, the skit explained complex ideas in a simple and relatable manner. It clarified the difference between Constitution Day and Republic Day, touched upon the length and structure of the Constitution and emphasised the ideals expressed in the Preamble along with the balance between Fundamental Rights and Fundamental Duties.
The performance concluded with a pledge by the students to uphold constitutional values in their daily lives, leaving a meaningful impact on the audience.
The students who presented this impressive skit were:
Narrator: Yogini Samant (7C)
Student 1: Shrushti Kadam (7D)
Student 2: Vighnesh Patange (7B)
Student 3: Neeraj Raut (7A)
The day was further marked by a display board prepared by our teacher Mrs Sonia Mullick, showcasing the meaning and importance of the Constitution. The board featured the Preamble, key facts and a model of the Constitution book, helping students visually connect with the spirit of the occasion.
The celebration served as a gentle reminder that the Constitution continues to guide the nation and that it is the responsibility of every citizen, young or old, to preserve its values and contribute positively to India’s progress.
