An educative talk on obesity for std IX students was held on 24th November, 2023.

Modern lifestyles are truly enjoyable but also bring a different set of problems with them. Sedentary lifestyles, coupled with wrong eating habits and a stressful life, lead to weight gain and obesity.

To make students aware of the dangers of obesity and measures to tackle it, a talk was organized by three Pediatricians from the Indian Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Amruta Shirodkar spoke to the students about the various causes that lead to obesity in young adults. Dr. Sikha Agarwal explained the importance of good bone health and physical exercise during the growing up years. Dr. Neha Nabar elaborated on the need to think and eat wisely.

All three speakers engaged the students in a joyful and interactive session. They answered all the questions asked by the students in simple terms.
