Ashadi Ekadashi was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm by the students of PTV English Medium School (Secondary Section)

सोहळा जमला आषाढी वारीचा
सण आला पंढरीचा,
मेळा जमला भक्तगणांचा,
ध्यास विठुमाऊलीच्या दर्शनाचा….
Ashadi Ekadashi was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm by the students of Parle Tilak Vidyalaya English Medium School (Secondary Section).
The program commenced with our Headmistress Mrs. Smita Biwalkar extending her wishes to the students on the occasion of Ashadi Ekadashi. This was followed by a speech delivered by our teacher, Mrs. Madhura Dabir. In her informative and enriching speech, she highlighted the significance of the pilgrimage tradition in the Varakari sect. She observed:
आज एकविसाव्या शतकातही ही वारकरी संप्रदायातील वारीची परंपरा अखंड टिकून आहे ती केवळ श्रद्धेवर! मानवता,भूतदया यांची शिकवण देणारी अशी ही वारी!
Subsequently, our school choir group presented a melodious abhang written by Sant Tukaram titled आता कोठें धावे मन….. They were beautifully trained by our Music Teacher, Mrs. Vrushali Virkar.
The celebration continued with a Dindi procession. The students adorned in traditional outfits participated in singing, dancing and chanting the name of Lord Vitthal in a well-organized manner.
Devotion filled the air….
We express our gratitude to our teachers, Mr. Jitendra Patil, Mr. Paresh Ipte, Dr. Vidnyapana Gokarnakar and Miss Diksha Waroshe for their efforts in making this celebration a truly memorable one.
