Parle Tilak Vidyalaya English Medium School (Secondary Section) celebrated Shivaji Jayanti on 18th February 2026 with great reverence and patriotic spirit. The programme was organised to commemorate the birth anniversary of the great Maratha warrior king, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, whose life and ideals continue to inspire generations.
The programme commenced with the garlanding of the portrait of Shivaji Maharaj by the respected Headmistress, Mrs. Smita Biwalkar, followed by floral tributes and prayers. The display board, beautifully decorated by Ms. Beena Godambe, enhanced the festive and patriotic atmosphere of the celebration.
An informative and inspiring talk was delivered by Ms. Diksha Waroshe. She highlighted Shivaji Maharaj’s remarkable journey, his deep respect for women, his just and efficient administration and his unwavering love for his people. Her speech encouraged students to imbibe values such as honesty, discipline, courage, leadership and responsibility in their daily lives.
Students presented a melodious Powada titled Maharajanchi Keerti Befaam, under the guidance and training of Mrs. Vrushali Virkar. The performance vividly portrayed the bravery, visionary leadership and strategic acumen of Shivaji Maharaj. The Powada conveyed the powerful message that true strength lies not merely in physical power, but in intelligence, courage, presence of mind and wise planning.
