Dancing on Regional Tunes
On 18 September, Thursday, an inter-house dance competition for both the Junior and Senior groups was held at Parle Tilak Vidyalaya English Medium School (Secondary Section)
This year’s theme: the folk dances of India.
The Junior group was made to perform on the folk dances of Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Assam and Goa.
The competition for the Junior group was judged by Mrs. Smruti Mogrey, teacher, and Mrs. Komal Jani, teacher.
The first prize in the Junior dance was awarded to Kusumagraj House and the second prize was secured by J. C. Bose House.
The States allotted to the Senior group were Kashmir, Bengal, Punjab and Kerala.
The Senior group dance was judged by Mrs. Anuradha Phatak, teacher, and Mrs. Anvaya Kane, teacher.
The first prize in the Senior group was awarded to Kusumagraj House and the second prize was secured by J. C. Bose House.
