Dr. Iyer Sridhar V B (Sanskrit Teacher) of PTV English Medium secondary section spoke on Yoga curriculum in the light of NEP – 2020 at Kavikulguru Kalidas Sanskrit University, Nagpur

The paradigms of Physical Education, Sports and Yoga are integrated under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

Kavikulguru  Kalidas Sanskrit University, Ramtek, Nagpur had conducted an international symposium on ‘Yoga for Holistic Health’, on 29th March, 2023.

Dr. Iyer Sridhar V B, our Sanskrit teacher, was invited as a key speaker in the above symposium.  Sir presented his innovative and practical ideas to integrate Yoga, based on the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, into mainstream education.

 Dr. Iyer  spoke on the topic: ‘Yoga curriculum in the light of NEP – 2020’. He emphasised on the importance of the ‘correlated approach’ towards teaching yoga. He highlighted the significance of including Yoga in the curriculum  and underlined the role of Yoga in creating a generation which will be stress-free, energetic and  enthusiastic as it continues its journey in pursuit of excellence.

Patron, Honourable Vice Chancellor, KKSU, Ramtek and Dr. B.N. Gangadhar, Professor Emeritus, NIMHANS.
