Inauguration of English Literary Club ‘Enrich’

Parle Tilak Vidyalaya English Medium School (Secondary Section) inaugurated the activities of the English Literary Club ‘Enrich’ for the academic year 2022-23.
The function was attended by the Chief Coordinator, Parle Tilak Vidyalaya Association – Madam Mrs. Janhavi Khandekar, the staff and the students of our school.
Our esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. Sudha Subramanium, inaugurated the activities by lighting the traditional lamp. In an informative and enriching speech, Madam emphasised on the power of expression and how it can be developed.
Madam Mrs. Janhavi Khandekar in her speech underlined the importance of reading and emphasised on the effectiveness of the SQ3R Method of Reading.
Conceptualized by our Headmistress, Mrs. Smita Biwalkar, several programmes were planned for this occasion.
A book cover designing competition was organised earlier this month and the winners received their prizes on this day.
Other programmes included:
1. A drama titled : Unity is strength, Unity is beauty……
2. A book extract reading.
3. A poem recitation.
As a part of the Library Week students were given two activities: Miniature Book-making and Bookmark making. These works too were displayed.
The art work for the function was beautifully designed by our Deputy Headmistress Mrs. Yamini Dalvi and Art Teacher Mrs. Beena Godambe and Miss. Diksha Waroshe tr.
Our teacher Mrs.Komal Jani introduced the Chief Guest, while Miss Sonia Mallik proposed the Vote of Thanks.
All the English teachers of our school contributed towards the success of this programme.
