Interhouse Project competition organised in PTV English Medium School (Secondary Section)

To achieve the above-mentioned educational objectives, various curricular and co-curricular activities are organized in Parle Tilak Vidyalaya English Medium School.

On 29th August, 2023, the Interhouse Project competition for the academic year 2023-24 was organized. The Senior group was given the topic of Millets. Through their presentation, the students provided the following information:

1) Introduction to millets
2) Physical characteristics of millets
3) Geographical locations where millets are found
4) Suitable climate and soil for millet growth
5) Health benefits of consuming millets
6) Nutritional value of millets
7) Various uses of millets

The competition was judged by our teachers Mrs. Vibhavari Kulkarni and Mrs. Kavita Kapoor.

The prize winners for the competition are:
I Prize: C.V. Raman House.
II Prize: Kusumagraj House.

For the Junior group, the topic was Endangered Species of Animals in India, for which the students explained the concept of endangered species. The students shared the following information:

1) Scientific name of the endangered species
2) Geographical location where these species are found
3) Climatic conditions required by these species
4) Reasons for their endangerment
5) Suggestions for ways to save endangered animals
6) Steps taken by the government for wildlife conservation

The competition was judged by Mrs. Nita Banavali and Mrs. Rathi Pillai.

The prize winners for the Junior group are:
I Prize: Kusumagraj House.
II Prize: J.C. Bose House.

We thank our teachers Mr. Amit Palav and Mr. Rajendra Sanga for their efforts in making this activity an educative and enriching one for all our students.
