lluminate Diwali with Compassion – PTVEMS Students Lead the Way in Eco-Friendly and Value-Based Celebration
Let’s Illuminate Diwali with Compassion
At Parle Tilak Vidyalaya English Medium School ( Secondary Section), we believe that education is not just about academics but about spreading fragrance in the surroundings. For more than three decades, we have upheld the tradition of celebrating Diwali in a meaningful way—combining joy with responsibility.
Every year, our students are encouraged to avoid bursting crackers and instead contribute the money they would have spent to Vatsalya Trust, an orphanage. This tradition serves the dual purpose of protecting the environment and fostering in our students the spirit of sharing, caring, and social responsibility.
As part of this year’s campaign, Nature Club students visited every classroom, spreading awareness about the harmful effects of crackers and the power of giving. With great enthusiasm, the students collected ₹11,490, which will be handed over to Vatsalya Trust.
Through this sustained initiative, our students have learnt that Diwali is not just about lighting lamps at home but also about lighting up lives in the community. A small act of kindness, repeated year after year, has created ripples of joy and compassion across generations.
For thirty years and counting, our students have been proving that the brightest light is the one that shines through giving.
