The 43rd Annual Sports Meet of Parle Tilak Vidyalaya English Medium School (Secondary Section) was held on 15th and 16th November 2025 on the school grounds. The compering for Day One was carried out by Dr Vidnyapana Gokarnakar and Mrs Vandana Menon. The programme commenced with the worship of Lord Hanuman, symbolising strength and true spirit. Deputy Headmistress Mrs Yamini Dalvi offered a garland to the idol, after which the students recited the verse manojavam marut-tulya-vegam. This was followed by the proud moment of lighting the sports torch. Last year’s champions, Miss Sanvi Desai (IX-C) and Master Samarth Wadkar (X-A), were invited to carry the torch. After the flag hoisting and oath-taking ceremony, the Sports Meet was formally declared open.

Events for the day began soon after. Students participated with great enthusiasm in the 100 metres running for senior and junior boys and girls, long jump for senior boys and girls, and 50 metres running for sub-junior and midget boys and girls. The excitement continued with the 4 × 100 metres relay for senior and junior boys and girls. One of the most awaited attractions of the day, the Tug of War, drew loud cheers as the boys’ and girls’ teams put in their best efforts. With these events, the first day concluded on a spirited and energetic note.

The second day, held on 16th November, began with warm greetings and motivating words by the comperers, Mrs Kalpana Ved and Mrs Vibhavari Kulkarni. The atmosphere was lively as students competed in the potato race for junior boys and girls, hurdles for sub-junior girls and midget boys, the obstacle race for sub-junior and midget boys, the skipping race for sub-junior girls, and hurdles for midget girls. Each event highlighted the determination, focus, and sportsmanship of the participants.

The prize distribution ceremony added pride and joy to the morning. The school had the honour of welcoming the Joint Secretary of Parle Tilak Vidyalaya Association, Shri Hemant Bhatawadekar Sir, who awarded prizes to the winners of the chess competition. Headmistress Mrs Smita Biwalkar presented prizes to the winners of the athletic events, while the Supervisor and teachers felicitated the participants of other events.

The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by our Supervisor, Mrs Vasundhara Pandey Madam, who expressed gratitude to the Physical Training instructors Mr Jitendra Patil and Mr Paresh Ipte, the comperes and staff members, student volunteers, and all participants for making the two-day event a grand success.

The Sports Meet brought together joy, discipline, and healthy competition, leaving students with wonderful memories and valuable lessons. It ended on a proud note as students displayed true spirit of determination and sportsmanship. Their efforts, discipline, and teamwork reflected the core values of the event, inspiring them to strive and grow with confidence.
