Parle Tilak Vidyalaya Association had organised an exhibition on Oceans on 6th and 7th January, 2024
Our stall, ‘Aqua Escape: Your Passport to Tranquil Adventures.’ presented by our teachers and students beautifully crafted the narrative of how oceans play a pivotal role in global tourism, thereby contributing significantly to the world economy. 13 exotic and less-explored destinations were presented, encouraging visitors to venture beyond traditional tourist spots and discover hidden gems. These carefully selected rare and interesting tourist activities and destinations showcased the diversity and potential of Ocean Tourism, inspiring visitors to embark on responsible and fulfilling travel experiences.
The Kaasav festival showcased instances where tourism positively impacted local communities, demonstrating the potential for inclusive and community-focused tourism models. Thrill-seekers were enticed with presentations on adventurous activities like scuba diving, snorkelling and underwater exploration with museums such as MUSA and MOUA.
The Puri Festival featured cultural aspects of coastal communities, offering visitors a glimpse into the rich heritage associated with oceanfront destinations. The Bioluminescence Bay allowed attendees to learn about responsible ways to engage with marine wildlife, promoting ethical tourism.
In conclusion, the Geography Exhibition on Ocean Tourism successfully achieved its objectives by promoting tourism’s economic benefits, raising environmental awareness, and encouraging sustainable practices.
