Parle Tilak Vidyalaya English Medium School, organized by Parle Tilak Vidyalaya Association Schools, had organized an exhibition called “Ocean” on Saturday, 6th and Sunday, 7th January 2024.

The project “Avenues of the Blue World”, displayed by Parle Tilak Vidyalaya English Medium School (Secondary Section), provided valuable insights into the field of oceanography and its associated career opportunities. The details of our exhibits are as follows:

National Institute of Oceanography (NIO):

The project shed light on the National Institute of Oceanography, emphasizing its significant contributions in the field of oceanography. NIO’s primary focus on pure sciences, including geology and geophysics, along with contributions to ocean engineering and research vessels, was highlighted. The project effectively conveyed NIO’s significance as a leading institution in oceanographic research and its multifaceted approach to studying the oceans.

Career Guidance in Oceanography:

The project also delved into the diverse career opportunities and educational pathways available in the field of oceanography. It provided comprehensive guidance on pursuing a career in oceanography, offering in-depth knowledge about the various opportunities and educational levels associated with the field. By showcasing the breadth of career openings in oceanography, including the exploration of tidal energy, the project effectively underlined the vast potential for growth and exploration in this field.

Tidal Energy and its Significance:

We also highlighted the concept of tidal energy, elucidating and enlisting its advantages and commercial applications. It outlined the surprising educational opportunities available in the realm of tidal energy and its relevance in the broader context of oceanography. The project spotlighted some of the renowned tidal energy projects in India, contributing to a comprehensive understanding of the significance of tidal energy in the country’s energy landscape and its potential for sustainable energy solutions.

The exhibits displayed by our school, along with the brochures and other learning materials, served as an informative and engaging platform for students and visitors alike to explore the boundless avenues of the blue world and the opportunities it holds for the future. Each of our presentations underlined the school’s commitment to promoting scientific awareness and nurturing students’ interest in the fields of oceanography and sustainable energy.
