PTV English Medium School (Secondary Section) has won the First Prize in Senior Group project at the Science Exhibition

73 schools across KP East Ward, Mumbai had showcased their innovative projects at the Science Exhibition 2022-23 organised by the Education Department from  30.01.2023 to 01.02.2023 at R.N. Sheth Vidyamandir, Jogeshwari.

 An annual inter-school event, it is a platform for the students to display their scientific knowledge –
A unique way to develop love for Science and Maths in the students and to encourage them to walk on the path of exploration and discovery.

We are very proud  to announce that Parle Tilak Vidyalaya English Medium School (Secondary Section) has won the First Prize in  Senior Group project.

A glorious moment indeed!!

Details of our project:

 Title: The Golden Touch (Phi) – A project on Golden Ratio

Theme: Technology and toys.

Sub-theme: Mathematics for us.

There is something in Mathematics known as the golden ratio of 1: 1.6.  This ratio is found in patterns throughout nature. Our school’s project was based on the  application of this ratio in designing toys.

This project, based on the principles of Experiential Learning,  was prepared under the guidance of our Science and Maths teacher Mrs. Smruti Mogrey.

We thank our Deputy Headmistress, Mrs. Yamini  Dalvi for all the creative inputs and invaluable guidance provided.

In the same exhibition our very active Nature Club, ‘The Young Explorers Nature Club’ too has been declared as the third best Nature Club in the KP East Ward.

We have been recognised for the educative and enriching activities organised during this academic year to create awareness about the need and the ways to conserve, preserve and protect our environment.
