Session on Cybersecurity
On 17th July 2025, an enlightening session on the topic of Cybersecurity was hosted by Parle Tilak Vidyalaya English Medium School (SSC). The guest speaker for the event was introduced as Mrs. Anjali Malviya, the first lady engineer at Aditya Birla Group’s Hindalco Industries Limited. She was also recognised as a renowned academician, with several research papers having been published by her in reputed national and international journals. Mrs. Malviya was acknowledged as a respected professor in the field of cybersecurity.
The session was organised for the students of Standard 8, who were assembled in the school hall to attend the programme. A formal introduction of the guest speaker was given by Ms. Asmi Shetiya, the President of the school’s Interact Club for the academic year.
The session was begun with a question-and-answer segment, through which the students were engaged by Mrs. Malviya. Gradually, the session was transitioned into a detailed and informative talk on key cybersecurity topics. Crucial issues such as cyberattacks, identity thefts, malware, and data breaches were elaborated upon. Emphasis was placed not only on understanding these threats but also on the preventive measures and safety practices that must be followed to stay protected online. The ability of Mrs. Malviya to simplify technical jargon and present complex concepts in an accessible manner was highly appreciated.
Awareness about the increasing risks associated with the digital world was effectively raised among the students. Valuable insights into the impact of cybercrimes on both individuals and organisations, especially through social media and modern communication platforms, were provided.
The programme was concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Sthira Divekar, Vice President of the Interact Club, in which gratitude was expressed to the guest speaker for her valuable time and knowledge. The session was found to be highly informative and the students were left better equipped to navigate the digital space responsibly.
