Shikshan Saptah celebrated at Parle Tilak Vidyalaya English Medium School Secondary Section

In celebration of ‘Shiksha Saptah’ from July 22-28, 2024, marking the 4th Anniversary of the National Education Policy (NEP 2020), Parle Tilak Vidyalaya English Medium School engaged in various activities aimed at promoting quality education.

 

July 22, 2024 – TLM Day:

  1. Geometry Activity: Std 10 students explored the Pythagorean theorem through a code-breaking worksheet after watching a video on Pythagoras.
  2. Sanskrit Masks making and speaking activity: Std VIII-C students made animal and bird masks to practice Sanskrit communication.
  3. Geo Board Maths: Std 8 students used geoboards to study triangles and quadrilaterals.
  4. Best out of Waste: Std 7 and 8 students created useful items from waste materials.
  5. Geometric Shapes with Earbuds: Std 9 students made 2D and 3D shapes to learn geometric properties.
  6. Clay Modelling: Class 5 students modeled historical sources using clay.
  7. Collage Making:* Std 7 students created collages to express their creativity.
  8. Sanskrit Flash Cards: Std 8 students made colorful flashcards to learn new Sanskrit words.

 

July 23, 2024 – FLN Day:

  1. Months of the Year Maths Activity: Std 5 students engaged in an activity about months and important dates.
  2. Pi City: Std 7 students created colourful representations of pi values.
  3. Bookmark Making: Std 5 to 7 students made bookmarks with inspiring English quotes.
  4. Word Search Puzzle: Std 6 students participated in a vocabulary-building word search.

 

July 24, 2024 – Sports Day:

  1. Torch Lighting: The event began with a torch lighting ceremony.
  2. Lezim Performance: A traditional Lezim dance was performed.
  3. Chess Competition: Students participated in a chess competition.
  4. Surya Namaskar: Students practiced yoga to emphasize physical and mental well-being.

 

July 25, 2024 – Cultural Day:

  1. Isha Stavan: Std 10 students offered prayers to the Goddess of knowledge.
  2. Group Song: Std 5 to 8 students sang about the importance of education.
  3. Tribal Dance: Std 6 to 9 performed a traditional dance.
  4. Monoacting and Povada: Performances on historical figures and cultural heritage.
  5. Story Narration: A teacher narrated a story to the students.
  6. Sanskrit Bhajan and Jogva: Religious and traditional performances.

 

July 26, 2024 – Skilling and Digital Day:

  1. Microsoft PowerPoint: Std 6 students learned to create presentations.
  2. Microsoft Excel: Std 7 students were introduced to data organization and analysis tools.
  3. Microsoft Access: Std 8 students designed reports using Access.
  4. Talk to an Expert: An interactive session on digital art and career opportunities with Vaishnavi Mahimkar.

 

July 27, 2024 – Eco Clubs for Mission Life/Nutrition Day:

  1. Sapling Plantation: Students and parents planted saplings.
  2. Healthy Bhel: Std 6 students made a nutritious snack.
  3. Healthy Sandwich: Std 5 students prepared healthy sandwiches.
  4. Street Play and Project: Std 7 students highlighted the nutritional value of millets.

 

July 28, 2024 – Community Involvement Day:

  1. Introduction to Vidyanjali Program: Students learned about community and private sector involvement in schools.
  2. Poster and Banner Design: Students created posters on education, environment, health and hygiene, and unity.
