Teachers Day

Teachers Day

Teachers’ Day was celebrated with warmth and joy on September 5th, 2024, at Parle Tilak Vidyalaya English Medium (Secondary Section). The day was dedicated to honouring the immense contributions of teachers in shaping young minds. The students organised a heartfelt assembly to express their gratitude, led by the Head Boy, Anurag Chapekar and the Head Girl, Sannidhi Nair.

The event began with Headmistress Mrs. Smita Biwalkar garlanding the photograph of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. Sannidhi Nair, as the student Headmistress, compered the programme. A moving poem about the importance of teachers, written and recited by Anurag Chapekar, set a reflective tone for the day. Students Aryaa Deshmukh, Paalavi Vedpathak, and Vanshika Jain delivered speeches in English, Marathi and Hindi, followed by a Sanskrit verse expressing profound gratitude to teachers.

The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) added a special touch by presenting tokens of appreciation to the Headmistress Madam Smita Biwalkar,  Deputy Headmistress Madam Yamini Dalvi and Supervisor Madam Vasundhara Pandey. They also organised surprise performances. Manasvi Kulkarni presented a graceful Ganesh Vandana, followed by a speech from Shriyansh Patil. Aarya Deshmukh performed a mesmerising Guru Vandana in Kathak and young Shravani Taral delivered a heartfelt tribute to her teachers. The event concluded with Tejomay Oke’s enchanting instrumental performance. Tejomay played ‘Lara’s Theme’ from Dr. Zhivago and ‘Louisa’s Polka’ on the accordion, leaving the audience spellbound.

Snacks and small tokens were lovingly distributed by the PTA. Mrs. Kalpana Ved, our teacher, proposed the Vote of Thanks on behalf of the school. The day left behind beautiful memories that will be cherished by both students and staff.
