Teachers’ Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and heartfelt gratitude

Teachers’ Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and heartfelt gratitude on 4th September 2025 at Parle Tilak Vidyalaya English Medium (Secondary Section). The event was dedicated to honouring the invaluable contribution of teachers in shaping students’ lives. A special assembly, organised by the students, set the tone for the day. It was conducted by Aayush Hase of class X-C and Sanika Mahade of class X-D.

The programme commenced with Headmistress Mrs. Smita Biwalkar offering a garland to the portrait of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. Taking on the roles of student Headmistress and Headmaster, Sanika Mahadev and Aayush Hase led the proceedings with confidence. A melodious song rendered by Madhura Mashankar of class X-D added to the warm atmosphere, after which the student-teachers took over the classrooms, giving their teachers a much-deserved break.

The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) organised a cultural programme for the teachers, adding charm to the day’s celebrations. Hosted by Mr. Ganesh Shetye, PTA representative of class VII-C, the event began with a graceful dance by Swara Joshi of class X-A. This was followed by a patriotic group song presented by the junior students. Madhura once again captivated the audience with a soulful bhajan, बाजे मुरलिया, accompanied beautifully by Tejomay Oke on the keyboard and Nishad Wagle on the tabla. Nishad further showcased his talent with a solo tabla recital. A powerful dance performance by Ojasvi Limaye of class X-C, based on the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, left the audience spellbound.

The celebrations concluded with snacks and tokens of love thoughtfully arranged by the PTA. Finally, Mrs. Nita Bannavali delivered the Vote of Thanks on behalf of the school. The day proved to be a memorable one, filled with joy, appreciation, and togetherness, leaving a lasting impression on both teachers and students.
