The PTV Association has designed an experiential Geography Room in their Marathi Medium building.
This space is accessible to all the schools of the PTA Association.
Yesterday our school, PTV English Medium Secondary Section got an opportunity to conduct an activity for our students in this newly designed and tech supported Geography Room.
A few days ago, all our Geography teachers sat together and thought of what could be done.
They decided to show
films followed.
Two films were shown. One was’ Direct from an Asteroid’ and the other one was ‘A curious world -Underwater World.’

About 85 of our 6th std students were present.
They were taken in 2 batches.
They were seated in groups of six at the hexagonal tables.
An activity sheet with a hidden word puzzle was given with clues.
Students collaborated together and found answers.
Our students really loved the room with especially the ceiling which depicts celestial objects and showed keen interest in the activity. They left with new learning.

At the end of the season one girl came to me and said, “I feel like I am sitting in the universe.”
This statement totally summed up the purpose of creating such a space.
