Tilak Punyatithi observed in PTV English Medium School (Secondary Section)

Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak passed away, leaving behind a legacy of true patriotism through his life and work. We, at Parle Tilak Vidyalaya English Medium School, commemorated his 103rd death anniversary with reverence and gratitude.
Our Headmistress, Mrs. Smita Biwalkar, garlanded the photo frame of Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak as the staff and students paid tribute to the great leader.
This was followed by a speech by the Class Teacher of VIII A, Mrs. Radhika Dalal.
In her informative speech, teacher traced the illustrious journey of Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak who dedicated his life to the service of our nation. She reminded us to uphold the values and ideals that Lokmanya Tilak stood for as we continue our journey in pursuit of excellence.
This was followed by a poem by our student, Om Bendre from Class VII A. The poem, ‘Lokmanya’, a heartfelt tribute to a leader par excellence, was penned by our teacher Mrs. Anvaya Kane.
The choir group of our school paid their tribute through a powada in praise of Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak. The students were trained by our Music teacher, Mrs. Vrushali Virkar.
A beautiful homage indeed!
An Essay and Story Writing Competition were held to mark the occasion of Tilak Punyatithi in the month of July 2023. The prize winners received their prizes from our Headmistress, Mrs. Smita Biwalkar. Also present to congratulate the students was our Supervisor, Mrs. Vasundhara Pandey.
This was followed by the I prize winners of classes IX and X reading out their prize-winning essays.
PTVA’s newsletter, ‘Darpan’, had organized an Essay Writing Competition for the secondary section students. The students had to submit their essays on the topic: ‘My summer vacation experience.’
The prize winners had the honour of receiving their prizes at the hands of our Honourable Secretary, Parle Tilak Vidyalaya Association, Shri Dilip Pethe Sir and the representative of PTVA’s newsletter, Juilee Ballal Madam. We express our heartfelt felt gratitude to them.
