Workshop held for students on how to identify adulteration in day-to-day food items and how to read food labels
Two workshops were held by the Mumbai Grahak Panchayat for the students of Class 7 Science club members. In the first workshop, the children were shown demonstrations on how to identify adulteration in simple day-to-day food items like milk, turmeric, saffron, black pepper, red chilli powder, etc. The second workshop taught the children how to read the food label packets and what the symbols and acronyms on the packets stood for.
