Students from PTV English Medium Secondary Section visit TIFR, Colaba for the Open Day Event
The Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) is a premier research institute under the Department of Atomic Energy of the Government of India.
TIFR hosts an open day once a year for school students and teachers. A day-long event is planned to introduce the students to the world of research in science and encourage them to pursue studies in the field of pure sciences.
On Sunday, November 26th, 2023, 16 students from our school attended the open day at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Navy Nagar, Colaba. They were accompanied by our Headmistress, Mrs. Smita Biwalkar, and our Science Teacher, Mrs. Minal Deo.
It was an enriching experience for the students as they could interact with research scholars in their labs. The scientists shared their valuable experiences with them. The students also had the opportunity to participate in some interesting demonstrations with simple experiments.
It was an educative and memorable experience for our students.
