Eco-Friendly Rakhi Making Competition

Eco-Friendly Rakhi Making Competition

An Eco-Friendly Rakhi Making Competition was organised by the Young Explorers Nature Club of Parle Tilak Vidyalaya English Medium School for the Std. 7 members. A total of 11 groups were seen participating with great enthusiasm, and beautiful rakhis were created using natural and biodegradable materials such as paper, jute, husk, fallen leaves, and flowers.

After the rakhis were completed, a heartfelt pledge to grow and protect trees was taken by the students. Handmade rakhis were then tied to trees within the school campus, symbolising a bond of love and commitment towards nature.

The entries were judged by the drawing teacher, Mrs. Beena Godambe. Certificates of appreciation for creativity and eco-consciousness were awarded to the best five creations. The event was seen as a successful blend of tradition and environmental awareness, leaving a lasting impression on all participants.
