PTVEMS Participates in the Launch of ‘Drug-Free Mumbai’ Campaign
‘Say No to Drugs, Yes to Life — Every choice for health is a step towards a brighter future.’
Parle Tilak Vidyalaya English Medium School, Secondary Section proudly participated in the launch of the ‘Drug-Free Mumbai’ or ‘Nasha Mukt Mumbai’ Campaign organised by the Government of Maharashtra on 30 July 2026 at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Stadium Dome, NSCI, Worli, Mumbai.
The campaign was launched with the vision of creating a drug-free Mumbai and contributing towards the national goal of a Drug-Free India by 2029.
The programme was graced by the Honourable Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Mr Devendra Fadnavis.
Other dignitaries present were Mr Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Mrs Ashwini Bhide and Mr Deven Bharti. More than 10,000 students, teachers and representatives of educational institutions from across Mumbai participated in the event.
Parle Tilak Vidyalaya English Medium School, Secondary Section was represented by the advisers of the Science Club, ‘Eureka’, Mr Deepak Patel and Ms Nikita Sharma. Their participation reflected the school’s commitment to creating awareness about the harmful effects of substance abuse and encouraging students to adopt healthy, disciplined and responsible lifestyles.
A major highlight of the programme was the mass anti-drug oath. Along with thousands of participants, the school representatives pledged to reject drug abuse, report illegal drug-related activities and spread awareness about the importance of making responsible choices.
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Mrs Rubal Agrawal. She acknowledged the collective efforts of the Government of Maharashtra, the Mumbai Police, educational institutions and social organisations in making the campaign a significant step towards building a healthier, safer and drug-free society.
Through its participation in this important initiative, Parle Tilak Vidyalaya English Medium School, Secondary Section reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing informed, responsible and socially conscious citizens.
