Report on Sanskrit Day Celebration 2026

Parle Tilak Vidyalaya English Medium School, Secondary Section, celebrated Sanskrit Day (संस्कृतदिनसमारोहः) with great enthusiasm and reverence. The programme highlighted the richness, relevance and timeless wisdom of Sanskrit and its contribution to India’s cultural and intellectual heritage.
 
The celebration commenced with an invocation and Deepa Prajwalanam, followed by Saraswati Vandanam and Sanskrit Vaibhava Geetam. Kavya Utekar spoke on the significance and contemporary relevance of Sanskrit.
 
Chief Guest Shri Rahul Sharadkumar Satghar, a renowned Sanskrit scholar, educator and expert in Indian Knowledge Systems, addressed the students and shared valuable insights.
 
A major highlight was the Mahabharata presentation featuring Sanskrit monologues on Karna, Arjuna and Shri Krishna, bringing alive the values of courage, duty, sacrifice and righteousness. The cultural segment featured a fusion of live music and dance based on the Sanskrit translation of Sant Tukaram Maharaj’s Abhang, “Khel Mandila Walavanti.”
 
The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks and a pledge to preserve and promote Sanskrit.
 
Special appreciation is extended to Dr Sridhar Iyer, Dr Vidnyapana Gokarnakar and Ms Diksha Waroshe for their dedicated efforts, meticulous planning and smooth conduct of the programme. Sincere thanks are also due to the School Administration, teachers, student performers, anchors and all contributors who made the celebration memorable.
