Aviation Career Awareness Session at Juhu Airport

Students of Std. X from the Secondary Section of Parle Tilak Vidyalaya English Medium School  who are interested in pursuing careers in aviation visited Juhu Airport. They were accompanied by our Supervisor Mrs. Vinitha Nair.

They attended an Aviation Career Awareness Session organised by the Airports Authority of India as part of the Yatri Seva Divas 2026 campaign.

The students were warmly welcomed by Shri Sonam Nurboo, Airport Director. He addressed them and shared valuable words of wisdom.

Shri A. S. Phanepure, Assistant Manager (Fire) and In-charge of the Fire Station, along with the other officers, conducted an informative session on firefighting services. The session helped the students understand the important role played by fire and emergency services in ensuring aviation safety.

This was followed by an enriching session titled ‘Wings to Your Future: Career Pathways in Aviation’, conducted by Shri Kartik Gupta, Junior Executive (HR). He introduced the students to various career opportunities, including Commercial Pilot, Cabin Crew, Air Traffic Controller, Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, CNS Officer and Airport Ground Handling and Operations. He also explained the qualifications, skills and training required for these careers.

Smt Manjusha Sawakhande, Assistant Manager (HR), conducted a motivating session on goal setting. She encouraged the students to identify their aspirations, set clear goals and work towards achieving them with determination.

Shri Bhavesh Upadhyay, Head of Operations, ONGC, addressed the students and shared valuable insights into the nature of work and employment opportunities in the sector.

The programme was organised and coordinated by Shri Deepak Murari Keluskar, Manager (HR) at the airport and parent of Yutika Keluskar, a student of our school.

The session was highly informative, enriching and inspiring. It broadened the students’ understanding of the aviation industry and introduced them to the wide range of career opportunities available in the field. The visit will certainly help them make informed decisions while planning their future careers.
