As a part of the Shiksha saptah, a Bookmark making activity was conducted on Tuesday, 23rd July 2024. Students made colourful bookmarks with beautiful quotations to encourage reading. They will be using these bookmarks for their book reading sessions.

Std. Best out of Waste Activity
Parle Tilak Vidyalaya English Medium School celebrated Shiksha Saptah with a series of engaging and educational activities. On 22nd July 2024,”Best Out of Waste” activity was conducted. It aimed at promoting creativity and environmental awareness among students.
The event encouraged students to think innovatively and create useful items from discarded materials. Participants from various grades brought in items such as old newspapers, plastic bottles, cardboard, fabric scraps and many more. The objective of the activity was to instill the values of recycling and upcycling, demonstrating that waste materials can be transformed into valuable products.
The venue of the activity was abuzz with excitement as students worked in groups, showcasing their artistic skills and imaginative ideas. The finished articles ranged from decorative items like vases and wall hangings, to functional objects such as organizers, planters, pen holders, garbage bins etc.
Teachers and staff members guided the participants, providing insights on techniques and safety measures while working with different materials. The event not only fostered a spirit of teamwork and collaboration but also heightened awareness about the importance of reducing waste and protecting the environment.
The ingenuity and resourcefulness displayed by the students were commendable.
The school principal, Mrs Smita Biwalkar, praised the students for their efforts and highlighted the significance of sustainability in today’s world.
The “Best Out of Waste” event was a great success, leaving students with a sense of accomplishment and a deeper understanding of environmental responsibility. It was a perfect blend of fun and learning, aligning with the school’s mission to provide a holistic educational experience.
