A natural colour making workshop for Holi organised in PTV English Medium School – Secondary Section

Studies have found that chemical based colours, popularly  known as ‘gulals’, are extremely toxic. The heavy metals used in them lead to several health issues. Apart from  skin problems and temporary blindness it can also  lead to respiratory  illnesses like asthma.

On 2nd March, 2023, a natural colour making workshop for Holi was organised in Parle Tilak Vidyalaya English Medium School (Secondary Section) by Bombay Natural History Society – BNHS

The purpose of the workshop was to teach the students ways to make colours from fruits, flowers and vegetables. The main aim was to help the students make the right choice – encourage them to choose safe and eco-friendly natural colours over chemical-based colours.

This workshop was a great learning experience for the members of Young Explorers Nature Club (Classes VII & VIII)

Here’s wishing each one of you a safe, green & eco-friendly Holi!
