Members of the Young Explorers Nature Club (Std VII & Std VIII) visited Maharashtra Nature Park
“To walk in nature is to witness a thousand miracles.” – Marie Davis
Diverse species of plants….
Different species of birds….
Several types of butterflies….
A wide variety of reptiles and amphibians….
Many species of spiders….
Yes it was a visual delight for our students!
Members of the Young Explorers Nature Club (Std VII & Std VIII) were taken on a visit to Maharashtra Nature Park on 6th March, 2023.
The students were shown a documentary which traces the journey of a dumping ground, which has now been converted into a beautiful sanctuary – The Maharashtra Nature Park. Students learnt how the collective will of the government and the citizens can do wonders to usher in beautiful changes in our environment.
They also spent time in the Astral Garden in the park, which has trees that correspond to the 27 rashis and 27 nakshatras.
The students enjoyed the nature trail the most. They were awestruck on seeing the exotic medicinal plants, different species of birds and insects and other elements of nature from close quarters.
With the lessons on conservation, preservation and protection of the environment having been imparted, it was indeed a delightful and an enriching experience for the students.
